Base layers for drysuits -- stay warm while paddling

The best drysuit is useless if you have the wrong layer underneath. Base layers are specifically designed for use under drysuits: they insulate excellently, wick moisture away and dry quickly -- even if you get water in your suit after a capsize.

We carry base layers and insulation layers from Toasted Thermic, Sweet Protection, Sandiline, Palm and NRS. From thin fleece one-pieces for milder days to thick thermal undersuits for winter paddling -- the right layer makes all the difference.

Why not just use regular thermal underwear? Dedicated kayak base layers are made from materials that retain their insulating properties even when in contact with water. Cotton or classic down fail completely here. Look for quick-drying synthetic fibres or wool and a fit that doesn't restrict you under the drysuit.

Combine different layers using the layering principle. Add warm socks and gloves for all-round protection on cold paddling days.
