We carry paddle gloves and pogies from NRS, Sandiline and Palm. Pogies attach directly to the paddle shaft -- you grip the paddle with bare hands but are protected by the insulated shell. This gives you maximum feel on the paddle with simultaneous cold protection. Classic neoprene gloves offer continuous protection, including during portages or scouting.
For whitewater paddlers in winter, pogies are often the first choice. For touring or when you spend a lot of time out of the boat, gloves are more practical.
Combine your gloves with a drysuit or a dry top with good gaskets for optimal cold protection.
