The Sandiline ONE42 neoprene hood is a must on cold paddling days (or for example during our
rolling courses)! It's made from 0.5 mm neoprene. On the inside, it's lined with wonderfully soft fleece that's super comfortable to wear. Despite the relatively thin material, it fits under any
helmet and still keeps you really warm. The material is also super stretchy, so it fits just about any head, no matter how big or small.
The cut of the hood extends over the ears. This means that even without
ear pads, your ears are well protected from cold wind and spray. The hood has a chin strap that very effectively prevents it from riding up.
FAQ: Does a neoprene hood replace ear plugs?
We think not. The neoprene hood efficiently protects against spray and wind. However, when your head is actually underwater, cold water still flows into the ear canals. We therefore strongly recommend using ear plugs such as
SurfEars if you spend a lot of time upside down.
