The principle behind paddle gloves is: maximum warmth combined with absolute grip. The gloves attach directly to the paddle shaft with Velcro. You then slip your hands through the opening into the gloves, giving you direct control of the paddle. The advantage: no slipping like when using paddling gloves! Thanks to their clever design, very little cold water gets into the gloves. And if it does, they have drainage holes to ensure it disappears as quickly as possible! The Pogies offer extremely reliable protection against the main cause of cold fingers on the river: the wind!
The material used is 3mm thick, abrasion-resistant neoprene. The inside of the paddle pads is super soft and therefore won't chafe against the skin.
