HF Tuppa hatch cover

HF Tuppa Hatch Cover — the right choice when transporting kayaks on the car roof. A taut neoprene hatch cover reduces fuel consumption during transport and prevents gear from flying out. To ensure the hatch cover performs its job even at high speeds, HF uses the same heavy-duty multistretch neoprene and the same bungee cord as in their whitewater spray skirts. Lighter pieces of equipment such as helmets can be safely transported in the boat. Of course, the Tuppa is also suitable for covering the cockpit during storage, keeping the inside of the kayak dry and clean at all times.

HF has built in one more small detail, even though with correct use you shouldn't actually need it:
Where the back strap is, the Tuppa hatch cover has a webbing loop with a buckle. You place this strap around the back strap, close the buckle first and then the hatch cover. Even if someone hasn't put the hatch cover on properly — it can't get lost, because the safety strap keeps it attached to the kayak's back strap.
