This throw bag from
°hf is a professional rescue device with comprehensive safety features. The 10mm kernmantle rope offers exceptional grip and is particularly favored by alpine whitewater paddlers. The Compact Alpin is also the ideal choice for safety personnel at events and meets the safety standards for water rescue operations. For those who find the weight of the Compact Alpin too heavy (over 1 kg when dry), the
°hf Compact Syntec is worth considering.
As a kayaking school, we recommend removing the plastic sleeve around the bottom loop before using the rope for kayaking. Firstly, it prevents the rope from drying properly. Secondly – and we consider this particularly important – the loop is relatively large. This means that smaller hands can slip through it, potentially leading to dangerous situations. Therefore, it's necessary to make the loop smaller. Following the "clean line principle," we also recommend removing the loop and the plastic sleeve from the open end of the rope.
