With the Werner Surge whitewater paddle, the manufacturer fulfils a long-standing customer wish: a fibreglass paddle in proven Werner quality with forward-offset blades. Forward-offset means the blade is not in line with the shaft but positioned a few centimetres forward. This gives you earlier pressure on the blade, allows a steeper stroke and therefore generates more forward drive.
We recommend the Werner Surge for large and powerful paddlers because it has relatively large blades. Everyone else might want to take a look at the smaller Strike.
