The hood of the Immersion Research Highwater Hoodie is cut so it can be worn under a kayak helmet, protecting your neck from sun exposure. To prevent the sleeves from riding up, the cuffs have thumb holes. The outside is smooth so you can easily layer over it. Flat seams prevent chafing.
