Pyranha impressed many paddlers with the OG Ripper 1, but with the Ripper 2 they've raised the bar even higher. Fundamental design changes have resulted not just in a boofing machine, but above all in a boat that couldn't make undercutting and standing upright for taillies any easier.
Looking at the Ripper2, two striking features immediately catch the eye: its extreme rocker and ultra-thin tail. The rocker allows you to glide effortlessly over any obstacle, while the ample front volume provides additional buoyancy. Sitting in the boat, you might think you're paddling a creek boat. The kayak crushes waves with ease, skips over rapids, and gives you the fundamental stability to feel secure.
The extremely flat stern is a game changer when edging and standing upright. Even beginners can easily push the stern underwater. With the perfect eddy line and a bit of technique, the Pyranha Ripper 2 simply refuses to return to a horizontal position. Extra rocker at the stern helps keep the end of the boat above water when it matters most.
The rocker and slicey tail, in particular, make the significant difference between the Ripper 1 and Ripper 2. There is one slight drawback, however: the new version of the Ripper has a bit less speed, but it scores considerably more style points!
