With the Waka GOAT, Waka Kayaks introduces a very playful, agile, and versatile whitewater kayak. Designed as a smaller version of the
Steeze , this river runner stands for maximum fun and excellent whitewater performance. Boofs, spins, and stern squirts – no problem for the GOAT! It remains easily controllable at all times and impresses with its precise handling thanks to its flat hull and defined rails.
Compared to other kayaks in the Waka fleet, the Waka GOAT is narrower, less bulky, and specifically designed for the needs of lighter paddlers. With a recommended weight range of 45kg to 90kg, the GOAT appeals not only to lighter and smaller kayakers but also covers a very wide range of weights and sizes. Between 65kg and 70kg, the GOAT presents virtually no limitations. It can be paddled with excellent control and safety, even in the most challenging whitewater. The closer your weight is to the 90kg mark, the more aggressive the handling becomes.

Our opinion on Waka GOAT
We've already thoroughly tested the GOAT and the Billy GOAT and are extremely impressed. During the testing, it was particularly noticeable that these were the first kayaks that fit Marieke (and even little Anne!) perfectly right away. And that's saying something, because previously we always had to do some gluing and tinkering before they could get enough contact with the hull to form an opinion about a kayak. The GOAT is now Bernie's boat of choice when he just wants to have fun paddling down a river. For little Anne, who weighs in at just under 55 kg, the GOAT is a reliable and maneuverable whitewater kayak that still offers plenty of safety margin.

Waka Kayaks is excited to introduce our newest water toy. The GOAT is the little brother of the Steeze and is aimed at smaller paddlers looking for a stern they can play with but also handle serious whitewater. We've given the GOAT a wide weight range so that paddlers over 80 kg who want a super playful stern but don't necessarily want to tackle the Stikine River can also enjoy it. The GOAT has the same basic hull design as the OG and the Steeze, allowing for easy high-speed direction changes, unparalleled skipping over holes and drops, wave riding and flat spins, and cool carving!
