Lettmann Machete

With the Machete, Lettmann has built an outstanding river runner — in two different sizes! This allows Lettmann to cover a huge range, and virtually every paddler can find a perfect fit in one of the two boats.

The boat is extremely manoeuvrable and paddles super intuitively. Thanks to the pronounced edges, the Machete can be steered with great precision to catch even the smallest eddy, and the pronounced front rocker combined with the wide hull means the Machete flies over virtually any obstacle. Speaking of boofing: if you keep it flat when boofing, it skips obediently through even the biggest holes. But if you push the stern too far underwater when boofing, you might find yourself standing vertically in the water studying the weather forecast before either elegantly spinning out (depending on your skills) or also checking the fish situation. Either way, the Machete provides loads of three-dimensional fun — and only in the most positive sense!

The shovel-like stern is surprisingly easy to push underwater — almost effortless. And once it's underwater, it's quite happy to stay there. So you spin through eddy lines and wonder the next day where all the stomach muscle soreness came from.
