IR Royale Spray Deck

When it's absolutely crucial that the spray skirt remains closed under all circumstances, kayakers worldwide turn to the Immersion Research Royale spray skirt. It is specifically designed for use in the most challenging whitewater thanks to many important details.

The chimney is made of 3mm thick neoprene. The spray deck is made of extremely abrasion-resistant 4mm Supratex II material. The front of the spray deck is made of Schoeller™ Keprotec® with reinforcements of DuPont™ Kevlar® aramid fibers. It is a top-edged spray deck, meaning it features a tri-fin rubber seal. The inside of the rubber profile has silicone strips, providing even more grip and ensuring a secure fit to the cockpit rim, even in harsh conditions. The rubber retains its elasticity even in cooler temperatures, allowing the spray deck to be fitted even on cold days. The ribbed exit loop is brightly colored for easy location and grip, even in critical situations.

By the way, you can find the perfect fireplace size by measuring approximately at the level of your navel. If you're between two sizes, it's recommended to choose the smaller one.

IR also offers to shorten the chimney if your torso is a bit shorter. We have a few spray decks with a short chimney in stock, but we can also order one directly from IR according to your specifications.
