This throw bag from
HF is amazingly versatile and packs down extremely small. The HF Weasel can be stowed even in the smallest freestyle kayak or carried using the system loops on the
HF Swify throw bag belt or the
HF Strap .
As a kayaking school, we recommend removing the plastic sleeve around the bottom loop before using the rope for kayaking. Firstly, it prevents the rope from drying properly. Secondly – and this is really important – the loop is relatively large. Because of this, smaller hands can slip through the loop, potentially leading to dangerous situations. Therefore, it's necessary to make the loop smaller. Following the "clean line principle," we also recommend removing the loop and the plastic sleeve from the end of the rope. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at +43 512 546710.
The use of this rescue device must be practiced regularly. For example, you could challenge yourself to accurately throw the throw bag twice at the beginning of each canoe trip. For even more important information, why not attend our
Safety Course? For extreme applications involving the construction of pulley systems or rappelling, we recommend the
HF Compact Alpin or the
HF Compact Syntec throw bag . The HF Weasel is not suitable for these purposes.
