The Prijon Rizz — a small Beast? Not at all — the Prijon lab has been hard at work on a new design!
Proportionally, the Rizz packs more volume in the stern, but its core design is still a modern quarter-slice — meaning the stern tapers in the rear quarter. A modified edge line and a slightly narrower cut make edging a breeze, and the more pronounced rocker line lets you accelerate quickly and fly over recirculations.
We of course asked Andi Brunner (170 cm, 65 kg) what he thinks of the Rizz:
The RIZZ from Prijon is an incredibly zippy and fast kayak that I personally find really fun! At my 65 kg, it fits perfectly for runs in my comfort zone. The kayak is very agile, fast and boofs wonderfully thanks to plenty of rocker front and rear. The inverse rocker makes it skip out of ledges unbelievably quickly. It paddles very intuitively and efficiently. For very heavy whitewater at my weight, it's less suited, as the bow and stern shape with low volume gets swamped faster in powerful waves. But that's precisely what makes it so agile and playful. My girlfriend loves the Rizz and has a blast on class II–III runs. Overall, the RIZZ is a perfect beginner creek boat and a super fun machine for intermediate paddlers.
