Hiko Nimue Air4.X Women's Dry Jacket

The Hiko Nimue Air4.X women's dry jacket is the current top dry jacket from the Czech traditional company. Apart from an almost unbeatable value for money, it also comes with many beautiful and well-thought-out details.

As is standard for dry jackets, this one also has latex gaskets at the wrists and neck. Over these, the jacket also features neoprene cuffs. The neoprene not only protects the latex from UV radiation but also keeps your wrists and forearms warm. The sleeves are cut relatively narrow, which is great because less material bunches up at the arms. At the more heavily stressed areas on the forearms and elbows, the jacket has inserts made from abrasion- and tear-resistant CORDURA®.

We also like the narrow rubberised strip on the inner waist tunnel. This prevents the jacket from riding up too easily. Using two hook-and-loop strips, the jacket can be perfectly adjusted to your waist. The jacket also has small reflective strips on the upper arms that remain visible even when wearing a life jacket. A note on sizing: the jacket runs rather small. If you're at the upper end of the size chart, consider buying one size up.

Thanks to the special shoulder cut, you have full freedom of movement in all directions. The AirFour light material, despite being a 4-layer fabric, is very light and flexible.

We particularly like the hook-and-loop closure that allows you to tighten the jacket at the waist. It's stitched all the way around, meaning the pull on the strap distributes evenly across the entire jacket.

The jacket is a good and affordable alternative for anyone who finds the material of the Sandiline Extrem jackets too thick and bulky!
